Fire Tablet Apps for Counseling

If you’re looking for more ways to integrate technology and apps into your counseling activities but don’t have a budget for an iPad, consider an Amazon Fire tablet! I bought one of these a couple of years ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by how many apps were available that were completely applicable to counseling! Amazon runs specials for them several times a year, including Prime Day! So if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get a Kindle Fire for $40-90 depending on which size you want (and if you’re not a Prime member, you can get a 30-day free trial here). From time to time, Amazon offers free books to use on Kindle reader (you can read these on your Fire Tablet). I recently got I am Yoga, Lacy Walker Nonstop Talker, and What if Everybody Said That? completely for free on Kindle just for being a Prime member! There are tons of counseling related books available on Kindle for really reasonable prices, so if you don’t have a lot of storage space for books in your office, this might be a great option for you!
